The Scholarship Disbursement For Meritorious Students under the aegis of Dhrithi Foundation, Mangaluru, Vidyaposhak, Dharwad, PP Gomathi Memorial Trust, Mangalore and Megha Fruit Processing Pvt Ltd was conducted by direct transfers to beneficiary accounts during the last week of March 2025.
PP Gomathi Memorial Trust, Mangalore, established in memory of PP Gomathi, Professor of English and retired Principal of Besant’s College, Mangalore, had joined the efforts of Dhrithi Foundation in 2019-20. Megha Fruit Processing Pvt Ltd., Puttur, makers of Bindu Mineral Water and other products, magnanimously came forward to extend support to needy students under their CSR initiative in 2020-2021. Many other donors, who have been regularly extending support since the beginning, also continued their support. It is indeed very heartening and encouraging, to say the least.
This year, 2024-25, a sum of Rs. 2,55,000 was distributed to 123 beneficiary students from Dakshina Kannada district, 62 students being newly supported. Of this, PP Gomathi Memorial Trust provided support of Rs. 100000 and Megha Fruit Processing Pvt Ltd., provided Rs. 200000.
This was the 19th year of Dhrithi Foundation’s Nurture Merit Programme and during this period, a total of Rs. 1,02,70,064 has been provided to 1403 students, continuously until the completion of their education.
