Venkatesh Shetty,
alumnus of St
Joseph's Engineering College at Vamanjoor and a beneficiary of
Dhrithi-Prerana-Vidyaposhak scholarship, and now employed at TCS, said
that donors such as Prerana had given students like him, without the
financial wherewithal to continue their education, a new hope and support
to reach their goals. "We students
should have the responsibility to study hard so that their efforts don't
go waste. Do justice to your scholarships, work harder and repay this debt,"
he said. Divyashree, another student supported by Dhrithi-Prerana and
Vidyaposhak for the past 5 years, who is now studying M.Sc. (Maths) at
Mangalore University, also thanked the project for helping her pursue
post graduation and wished to speak again once she had completed her
